Alumni Scholarship Drive
Dear fellow Trooper;
The Troopers Alumni Association is pleased to kick-off the 2008 Scholarship
Fund Drive! Our goal is to raise $5000 dollars by the end of May, 2008.
These funds will be directly dispersed to members
in need of financial aide in the form of tuition scholarships in the
amount of approximately $500 each. (awards may vary depending on the
amount of funds raised)
The 2008 Scholarship Fund is an opportunity for us all to give back;
to help todays students achieve the dream of becoming a Trooper in 2008
- the same as we did during our days in the sun. Will you contribute
to
those dreams at one of these contribution levels?
$1000 + Executive Officer Level
|
$750 + Commandant Level
$500 + Drum Major Level
$250 + Corps Commander Level
$100 + Commander Leader
$50 + Section Leader
$25 + Veteran
$10 + Rookie
A new member of the Troopers pays an annual tuition of
$1450.00, an assessment fee of $75.00 to $100 (depending on section -
guard pays the
most). Assessment
fees pay for shoes, gloves, sticks and guard accessories. Couple this
with camp fees ($50.00) and airfare (around $350.00) to get to camp and
means a hefty investment for members of the Corps.
In 2008, the the Troopers will welcome members from Wyoming, surrounding
Rocky Mountain and Plains states and all across our country. In addition,
the Troopers are pleased to welcome students from Japan and Armenia in
2008
as well. Every one of these Troopers is dedicated to the corps; has sacrified
plenty to proudly wear the crossed-sabers of the 11th Ohio and rely on
the generosity of those who marched before them, their families, friends
and neighbors
to keep the dreams of the Troopers alive.
Please pledge your support to the 2008 Troopers Alumni Association Scholarship
Fund. Visit

With grateful thanks,
Joel Williams, President
