William "OregonFan" Reanier

Sunday, June 29, 2003: The entire Troopers Drum & Bugle Corps family wishes to extend our sincerest sympathies and gratitude to the family of William A. Reanier. While volunteering with the Troopers during the northern California competitive tour, Bill passed away due to natural causes. Although a tragic loss of a dear friend, Bill had long wanted to tour with and help out the Troopers. He passed away having had the ability to fulfill that dream this summer.

Bill was a long-time fan of the Troopers and being from Oregon, was very excited to have the Corps return to the Pacific Northwest. Bill's interests were described this way; "The Troopers. Working with young people. Preserving & protecting our freedoms". He will be missed by all of us in the Troopers family and long remembered for his dedication to youth.

The Troopers will be dedicating their performances in Pleasant Hill, CA, Woodburn, OR and Vancouver, WA in honor of Bill's contributions and to his memory. Although he was only with the Corps a short time, his passion and commitment to drum corps and the Troopers was quickly evident. We will miss Bill and will see to it that we continue to offer the same commitment to youth, and seek the same level of excellence, that he himself was so willing to share and offer.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday July 5, 2003, 1:30PM.
