CASPER - Memorial services for Rosalind LaVonne Bailey, 76, will be conducted
at 10 a.m. Friday, April 18, at Bustard's Funeral Home and Crematory. Cremation
has taken place.
She died April 13, 2003, at Wyoming Medical Center.
Born Oct. 16, 1926, in Casper, she was the daughter of William E. and Erma
Eleanor (Fluno) Ames; and was raised and educated in Casper.
On December
15, 1946, she married Robert D. Bailey in Casper. A registered
nurse, she practiced at Wyoming Medical Center as a respiratory therapist;
and was a member of Wyoming Nursing Association.
She was an Honorary Trooper, known by hundreds of Casper youth
as "Ma
Bailey" and traveled with the Troopers Drum and Bugle Corps for about
10 years as a chaperone, nurse, cook, and "mom."
Her interests included sewing, knitting, and various crafts; cooking and
baking; and music, especially playing keyboards. Survivors include her
husband of 56
years; son, William E. Bailey; and two daughters, Marilyn R. Fairchild
and Carolyn J. Bowling. |
